🏛️ Trump Renews 2020 Fraud Claims, Citing Census Data
President Trump is again questioning the results of the 2020 election, citing a Census Bureau analysis that he says identified more than 24,000 noncitizens as having voted. He made the claim on Truth Social and said the number could increase as the analysis continues.
Analysts note the figure is under 0.02% of ballots and that the analysis does not establish that all of the matched records were actual noncitizen voters. Researchers point to potential false positives from outdated citizenship records and other data-matching errors.
The context: A 2024 review in Georgia, for example, identified 20 noncitizens on the state’s voter rolls; nine had previously voted. Trump has cited the issue in support of the SAVE Act and additional federal voter-identification requirements.

🎮 Riot Ends Active Development of 2XKO After Eight Months
Riot Games is shutting down 2XKO, its hyped fighting game, just eight months after launch, surprising fans who saw a thriving community. The game drew praise and strong turnout at events like EVO, where it ranked third in participants.
Riot says the numbers, not just revenue, told a different story: player retention kept slipping and new-player growth never took off. The studio had hoped its League of Legends tie-in would pull newcomers into fighting games, but that didn’t pan out.
The wind-down: Active development ends in December 2026, ending new characters and balance patches after a final fix. Online and offline play stay live indefinitely. Riot is refunding real-money purchases made on or before Aug. 20 while letting players keep their items.

⚖️ Evergrande Founder Sentenced to Life in Prison
A Chinese court has sentenced Hui Ka Yan, founder and former chairman of property giant Evergrande, to life in prison. He pleaded guilty to charges including fundraising fraud, bribery, and illegally taking public deposits.
Evergrande became the world’s most indebted developer before its collapse, with more than $300 billion in liabilities. The collapse deepened China’s property-sector crisis and raised concerns about its broader economic impact.
The penalty: The court ordered all of Hui’s personal assets confiscated. His fortune had once peaked at about $45 billion.. Evergrande and its subsidiaries were fined $2.3 billion, and 56 other executives and associates received prison terms. Officials framed it as a warning to the ultra-wealthy.
