⚖️ Musk Takes OpenAI to Trial, Claiming the Company He Founded Betrayed Its Nonprofit Mission

Elon Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015 as a nonprofit, provided early funding, and left in 2018 after a dispute over company direction. He has sued Sam Altman and company leadership, arguing OpenAI’s conversion to a for-profit structure and its pending restructuring into a public benefit corporation betray its founding mission and amount to unjust enrichment.
OpenAI produced correspondence it says shows Musk had pushed for a for-profit model himself, alleging he walked away only after the company declined to give him majority control and the CEO role. Altman holds no direct equity stake in OpenAI.
The stakes: A Musk win could mean billions in damages, forced leadership changes, and a collapsed IPO. A loss could allow nonprofits to convert to for-profit status without accountability. The trial is expected to run four weeks.

🏛️ Cuba Military Authorization Blocked in The Senate

The Senate voted 51–47 to block a Democratic war powers resolution requiring congressional approval before military action against Cuba. John Fetterman sided with Republicans; Susan Collins and Rand Paul with Democrats. The US energy blockade has caused blackouts up to 72 hours, food inflation above 13%, and 100,000 canceled surgeries in Q1.
Democrats argued the president had publicly signaled intent to take military action against Cuba on at least two occasions. Republicans countered that no active hostilities exist.
The backdrop: Democrats have forced five separate war powers votes on Iran, all of which failed. A sixth is upcoming. Tim Kaine argued the blockade would constitute an act of war if applied to the US.

🤯 R&B Singer D4vd Charged With Murder of 14-Year-Old Fan He Allegedly Met When She Was 11

Prosecutors allege Burke met Celeste when she was 11 and began a sexual relationship when she was 13. She was reported missing twice and allegedly spent much of 2024 at his Hollywood Hills home.
The details: After Celeste threatened to go public, prosecutors say Burke had her brought to his home and stabbed her, then dismembered her remains. Her body was found months later in the trunk of his Tesla. Defense attorneys deny he killed her.
