⚖️ New Footage Places Robinson at Kirk Murder Scene, Investigator Testifies

New surveillance footage shown at Tyler Robinson’s preliminary hearing this week places him on Utah Valley University’s campus before and after Charlie Kirk’s assassination in September, a state investigator testified. The same investigator said an officer flagged Robinson’s license plate during a roadside stop hours before the shooting.
Prosecutors only need probable cause, not proof beyond a reasonable doubt, to send the case to trial. Erika Kirk, Kirk’s parents, and Donald Trump Jr. have attended; Robinson has not entered a plea.
The evidence: DNA on the alleged murder weapon, wrapped in a towel near the scene, points to Robinson’s roommate and likely Robinson, though the defense disputes it. Prosecutors also cite a note Robinson allegedly left referencing the shooting.

📱 FIFA Investigates Alleged Racist Abuse of iShowSpeed at World Cup

FIFA opened a racism investigation after livestreamer iShowSpeed says a fan directed racial slurs and monkey gestures at him during Argentina’s World Cup match against Cape Verde in Miami, according to multiple reports. Online comments about the incident included further racist remarks.
FIFA condemned racism and discrimination, saying anyone undermining the tournament’s values of unity and diversity is not welcome. The incident follows other allegations of racial stereotyping targeting African teams and players.
The pattern: A Paraguayan senator, Celeste Amarilla, made racially charged remarks about Kylian Mbappé, and Belgium’s coach drew criticism for commentary about Senegal that some called stereotyping. Fans want stronger anti-racism protections at the tournament.

🌐 Trump Says Iran Ceasefire Is Over Amid New Deportation Lawsuit

Trump said this week he considers the US-Iran ceasefire over after tanker attacks in the Strait of Hormuz led to fresh US-Iran strikes. Oil prices jumped, with Brent crude up 6% past $78 a barrel and gas up more than 27% since before the war.
The fighting threatens last month’s 14-point deal to end the war and negotiate Iran’s nuclear program, though neither side has fully abandoned the truce. Iran says US strikes and reinstated sanctions have already undercut the agreement.
The lawsuit: A new claim alleges the Trump administration shared Iranian asylum seekers’ records with Iran’s government and let it choose which citizens, including dissidents and LGBTQ people, to have deported. More than 100 Iranians have been sent back during Trump’s presidency.
Fun Facts
🌍 Geography: New York City’s Central Park spans 843 acres, making it larger than the entire country of Monaco. One park is somehow winning the land-size contest.
🐾 Animals: Platypuses hunt underwater with their eyes, ears, and nostrils closed, using electroreceptors in their bills to detect prey. Basically, they’re swimming metal detectors with fur.
🚀 Space: NASA’s Lucy spacecraft found that the asteroid Donaldjohanson is a wobbling, peanut-shaped object formed when two smaller bodies collided millions of years ago. Space’s weirdest snack shape.
🤯 WTF: Scientists found that ordinary streetlights can lure thousands of woodlice into pointless circular “death spirals“ that don’t happen in the dark. Even bugs aren’t immune to bad nightlife decisions.
