🏛️House Votes to End Iran War as Lebanon Ceasefire Collapses

The House voted 215-208 to direct President Trump to end military operations in Iran without Congressional authorization, the first time such a measure passed since fighting began. Only four Republicans voted in favor, including Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky.
The resolution is symbolic and Trump is expected to contest its authority. He offered mixed signals on negotiations, at one point suggesting Iran had agreed to remove its uranium stockpile before later dismissing the conflict as minor.
The parallel trouble: The vote came as another crisis escalated; a US-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon was also announced, but Israel launched airstrikes within hours and Hezbollah rejected the terms. More than 3,300 people have died in that conflict since March.

🏥 SF Firefighter Dies After Insurer Denies FDA-Approved Cancer Treatment

Ken Jones, a 17-year veteran of the San Francisco Fire Department, died after Blue Shield denied coverage for an immunotherapy regimen his oncologist had requested. The treatment was FDA-approved and consistent with Medicare guidelines.
His doctor appealed multiple times without success. Blue Shield has said its coverage decisions follow medical guideline review. Once Jones switched to federal Medicare, coverage was approved immediately. A city audit found the insurer denied 21% of claims among San Francisco’s 40,000 covered employees.
The weight of it: Jones’s daughter testified before the city health board that an insurance company chose profits over a man who spent his career protecting San Francisco. Three other retired city firefighters are also facing coverage denials.

⚖️Bolton to Plead Guilty for Sharing Classified Files with Family

Former National Security Advisor John Bolton is scheduled to plead guilty on June 26 to retaining and sharing classified national security information, including foreign missile launch plans and covert operation details.
Prosecutors say Bolton forwarded more than 1,000 pages of sensitive material to family members through his personal email account. Those accounts were later compromised by hackers with ties to Iran.
The deal: Bolton originally faced 18 total charges but will plead to one count. He could receive up to five years in prison, but is expected to avoid jail time under a plea agreement that includes a $2.25 million fine.

An 87-year-old DoorDash driver took a wrong turn, and a viral video helped raise more than $40,000 so he could finally retire. Sometimes the wrong road leads exactly where you’re meant to go. 👴❤️
An 8-year-old girl folded a Taylor Swift song request into a paper airplane, and it ended with a signed guitar and personal note from Taylor herself. That paper airplane really stuck the landing. 🎸✨
Arsenal FC donated 1,000 match-worn socks to a horse sanctuary, where they help protect rescued horses and secure medical bandages. A championship season with an unexpected assist. 🐴⚽
